What To Expect This Sunday
Gathering together for worship is one of the primary ways that we connect with one another and with God. During each worship service we do the same kinds of things that Christians have been doing for nearly two-thousand years: we sing and pray together, we read God’s word, and we encourage one another to love more deeply and to live a life of good works.
If you’ve never visited Rock Chapel, you may be wondering what it’s like. We want to make sure that when you walk through our doors, you’ll feel welcomed. We won’t point you out during the service. We won’t ask you to stand or do anything else embarrassing. In fact, you’re more than welcome to slip in a few minutes late and slip out a few minutes early until you’re comfortable.
You also ought to know that we don’t have a dress code. The majority of those who come on Sunday morning dress casually.
If you’re planning a visit, we’d encourage you to keep reading so you can find out exactly what to expect.
Sunday Mornings (10AM) at Rock Chapel
On Sunday mornings, our goal is to worship. This service tends to have more music (both congregational and special), more Scripture readings, and a greater focus on praising God. The sermon is usually more focused on sharing the Good News of Jesus and his kingdom. If you’re new to church, this is the perfect place to start.
