Easter is all about Jesus. It’s about God’s love for people, despite their brokenness, bad decisions, selfishness, and sin.
The Gospel of John sums it up this way: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
This is the Good News – the Gospel – that Jesus, God’s Son, has taken all of the sin and brokenness of the world, including yours and mine, and defeated them through his death on the cross.
But his death isn’t the end of the story.
Jesus rose from the dead and now offers new life to all who trust him.
This is why we celebrate Easter!

When you arrive, someone will be waiting for you at the door, ready to show you around. You can grab a breakfast bar, coffee, or hot chocolate if you’d like. Then, if you have kids, you can get them checked in and ready for kids church. Once you’re in the sanctuary, feel free to sit wherever you like.
Our Sunday morning service (10AM) will start with 20 minutes or so with our live worship band. All of the words will appear on screens throughout the sanctuary, so feel free to participate as much as you’re comfortable with.
After the music, we’ll have prayer and Pastor Casey will call all of the children down for a kid’s sermon. Then, they’ll be dismissed to go to kid’s church while he shares a message about Easter.
And since it’s Easter, we’ll probably have a few unique elements. We can’t wait for you to see everything we’ve got planned.
Your children are welcome to join you for the whole service. However, we also offer age-appropriate programs during the sermon portion of the service for kids from birth through 5th grade. When you arrive, you’ll be able to fill out some information so our kids ministry staff can contact you in the unlikely event you’re needed during the service. This also ensures a secure drop-off and pick-up procedure for the safety of every child at Rock Chapel.
